London strikes deal for Flowers

Tyler Flowers is on the move to London, just three days after a Tijuana rumor suggested the catcher was available. The Arsenal were in need of a backup for Yadier Molina and were able to acquire Flowers for a pair of future mid-round draft picks.

The Tequila Swiggers acquired Flowers in the second round of the 2014 waiver draft after he was released by Memphis. He hit .206 with 8 homers in 86 games in his only season with Tijuana.

The Arsenal released outfielder Chris Young to make room for Flowers and are still in the market for help at second base and in the outfield.
